“Human Scale’s best quality is their willingness to work as a team and this attitude positively impacts each project they approach.”

- Cordia Pugh, Englewood’s Veterans Garden Director

NEED

Following the first phase of Project Access, the director of Englewood’s Veterans Garden wanted to build additional planter stations for more veterans in the garden. What truly made this project special was the fact that we designed a space specifically around the needs for veterans suffering from PTSD. Our main priority was to create a space where veterans would feel comfortable and safe while gardening.

GOALS

  • Build three separate planter stations
  • Create a design that can offer both private and shared spaces
  • Create a multi-purpose space for people of all abilities
