NEED
In 2017, the director of Englewood’s Veterans Garden wanted to make the garden more accessible, for Babette Peyton, a Gold Medalist Paralympic archer. At the time, the only planter beds in the garden were raised 10 inches off the ground.
GOALS
- Create ADA accessible planter beds
- Create a multi-purpose space for people of all abilities
- Partner with students from the University of Illinois at Chicago to use their skills to make a positive impact
